HUD Help

I don’t know where else to post this so I posted here.

Anyways, I would like to use a HUD that works with slacker but I don’t know which one. Also, I would need some assistance in how to properly install the HUD because I am a noob when it comes to these things. I just would like one that gives me crosshairs for aliens. Thank you whoever helps me ahead of time.

Update on volt's hud and grangerpub issues

so i've been digging around and trying to see what the problem with volt's hud and grangerpub is, and i've found a few things. this is sort of guessing atm, but it seems the cause of "UI_Alloc: Failure. Out of Memory!" error is that updated ui modules in later ioq3 versions have a bug where too many item/menuDefs cause the client to crash. volt's hud is quite bloated and has a shit ton of these, i'm currently in the process of just trimming it down and restructuring/cleaning it up a bit and we…

still a work in progress and a bit rough, I still have a lot that i wish to fix, but for now here's an early version for you guys to test. link doesn't include main menu, going to have to completely restructure that, might just adapt one from warriors or oticz for now. also, only one teamscore menu for now, i have to split the others into different files so it doesn't crash the client. install using (connect to grangerpub first than do do this) /exec ui/install.cfg

Problems with Volt's HUD and Grangerpub Server

Hey guys, so I've been trying to figure out what my problem was with Volt's HUD and Grangerpub Server but I have no clue what is going wrong. I attempt to join the server and before it even gets to the loading screen everything just closes with no error messages or anything. I can connect to the rest of the servers no problem but Grangerpub, the highest populated server on Tremulous, won't work. Okay, can we please get rid of this slacker bullshit and stick to the basic 'base'. There are too many problems. First remove this dumb ui.pk3. It would be most appreciated so people can use the HUDS they want to use. 2nd sometimes idk what happens. But autogens tend to somehow mess up or disappear. I wouldnt recommend volts hud. it’s UI folder conflicts with slackers UI folder

Conflicts can be worked around, I am running volt hud with slackers and tremfusion with zero issues.

For 1.3 we are working on a new default HUD. While old GPP HUDs are compatible with 1.3, 1.1 HUDs are not, which is one of the reasons we have the test7341 server set to pure for now. New custom HUDs for 1.3 should be made at some point.

The HUD already has alien crosshairs (from the gpp default HUD), we will probably improve upon the alien crosshairs as well.

Well in particular the alien crosshair can be more helpful for the goon barb which has a gravitational trajectory. Since the goon barb is a tertiary attack, a second crosshair might be required to be included for this attack along with the primary crosshair ideal for melee attacks.
